Mr. Holmes Bakehouse - Larchmont

I'm sad to report that... It wasn't that great. Given, I did not get the infamous "cruffin" (the flavor of the day was Chocolate Rye Cream?? Ummm, what, Mr. Holmes? Issa "no" for me, dawg). I opted for the donuts instead. They love to cross flavors that otherwise might not connect.

I tried the Plum Sake Jam and the Chocolate Passionfruit Cream filled donuts. I really hate to say this but... I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED! And I came early! So they were fresh. But there was hella bread and un poquito filling. Ughh.

The good side is that they had a poppin' playlist on (when I walked in D'Angelo's Lady was playing ((FAVE)) followed by Anthony Hamilton and Bilal. You can listen to it on Spotify (search: mrholmesbaked. playlist name <--- R&B basics) they did good.

Also good, they had a really dope "Rep Yo City" LA pin that I bought for my denim jacket. They also sell plates, mugs, tote bags, napkins and donut filling (salted caramel, strawberry, ferrero rocher)!

In all honesty, I'm going to give them another try. But I will check out the cruffin flavor of the day so that I don't waste my time on flavors that are less than thrilling. I definitely want to get into that Churro Croissant. I'd also like to try the Smoked Vanilla Cream (Mondays), Chocolate Caramel (Saturdays) and Blackberry Port Jam (Sundays). Don't go on Thursdays (Chocolate Rye! yuck! - sorry not sorry that sounds like a headache)!
